Family Centred and Constructive

At Wee Bairns Infant Care Centre, our mission consists of providing a warm, consistent and nurturing environment where children feel safe. Our unique daycare offers various activities that are specifically designed to encourage each child’s growth. Through cooperative play and creative activities, kids reach their social, emotional and physical milestones naturally and with ease. This allows staff to build on positive interactions and enable trusting connections with staff.

We strongly believe in taking a family-centred approach, which means we value families’ input and involvement. Communication is key, and so we regularly send out updates to our families. Our small size enables us to create and build strong connections with the community we serve. We recognize and support the diversity in our families and strive to understand their goals, expectations, routine, and wishes for their child.  These relationships create comfort and security which are optimal conditions for infants to thrive.

Our first priority is to provide safe, homelike care, for the infants in our centre. Enrollment prioritizes adolescent parents who are completing their high school education, but we are a resource for the whole Transcona community.

We aim to help each child reach his/her full potential: physically, mentally and emotionally by providing the program and equipment necessary to nurture the infant.  We provide a safe, respectful, homelike environment in order to develop healthy relationships between children, families, and staff.
